After sending my cards I must say I doubted everything I did, from the prints to the quotes and comments on the back. It has been so wonderful to get positive feed back from other artists...thank you to each person that has worked so hard on this project!
When the first card arrived, I was beyond thrilled. How perfect....I love water! Thank you Elaine from UK for sharing your talents! This postcard is a watercolour painting inspired by travel to the Western Cape, South Africa.
My next card was from Corinna, check out her work at corinnaho on Flickr! It was fantastic to receive her postcard, absolutely LOVE. The quote which is below the card in the photo was perfect.
My next work of art was from Sonya Versluys, such a beautiful card. " A reminder that we are surrounded by beauty everywhere is included on the back of the card, sometimes that is easy to forget. Check out Sonya's work at www.sonyaversluys.com she is super talented. Thanks again Sonya!!!!
Next treasure was from Juana Almaguer, I love the postcard and the message "The freedom to make mistakes provides the best environment for CREATIVITY" anonymous. This is the perfect message for me as i constant make mistakes, some times happy ones sometimes not so much so, but I do learn throughout the process. Thanks again Juana!!!! Check out her work at http://galleryjuana.com/.
My YEAR OF THE SNAKE card arrived from Karen Hewson, I wish that each person in the project could actually hold this postcard in their hands. This postcard was made by Karen using acrylics and brush markers, there is a gorgeous snake stamp on the back from Canada, and the postcard itself is has the most amazing texture.
Kat’s card is spectacular, since we couldn't post until now I haven't taken a photo yet, will try to update soon. This project is one that I will cherish all the days of my life. THANKS AGAIN FOR CREATING AND COORDINATING KAT, cannot imagine the time you've invested, your hard work is APPRECIATED!!! I look forward to 2014!
Bonus cards...
I was blessed to get what I think is my all time favorite Shirina Manes image (reminds me of the Wizard of Oz). Shirina is the most kind, generous, and caring person I've meet in a long time!!! Thank you Shirina!
Suzette I adore your work and love the postcard. It was a fantastic surprise to get in the mail. I love fences and the one you captured is perfect. Many thanks again for adding me to the Liberate Your Art Group, it was such fun.
Janice…wow I love your postcard, the perfect focus and blur, you rock! I love the design of your card, gives me ideas for next year =)
If you received one of my cards, please let me know, it will be neat to connect, since that is what this project is all about!
